Our History

It all started in 2008 when I lost my Dad, being a family of 5 children, our mum could not do a lot to afford our education and welfare. Puzzled and not sure of our future, a good Samaritan approached our mum and offered to look after two of my brothers who were younger than me.

She offered to take care of their education and welfare until they became of age. With such a gesture shown to my family at the time of need, I vowed to carry the same spirit and do everything in my power to put a smile on all marginalized families as long as I live.

Heaven’s Gate Charity is an indigenous company limited by guarantee registered and incorporated with the Government of Uganda Reg no. 80034393091789 with a charitable status.

Founded by Kalungi Bryan in 2015 as a charity group, it was first registered as a Community Based Organization under the names Back to Life Children’s Organization which later transformed into a fully registered company limited by gurantee in 2023 still with a charitable status under the names of Heaven’s Gate Charity dedicated to improving lives of children and their families through various programs focused on health, education, welfare, protection and emergency response.
